Plot
Two conspiracy obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO
of a major company, convinced that she is an alien
(part of an invasive alien species, the "Andromedans")
intent on destroying planet Earth.

The title word βουγονία is a Greek word that refers to an ancient
Mediterranean ritual or belief that bees spontaneously generate from
the carcasses of dead animals, particularly oxen.
The ritual/belief was used as poetic symbol/motif of renaissance and
of life after death.
Etymology: bous (oxen) and gonos (someone born)

For more than four decades, composer and multi-instrumentalist
Ross Daly has been recognized as one of the world’s foremost voices
in modal music. From his base in Crete, Daly founded the original
Labyrinth Musical Workshop, a global hub for the traditions of Central Asia,
the Middle East, and the Mediterranean.
Alongside longtime collaborator Kelly Thoma on lyra,
Daly has inspired generations of musicians to carry these traditions
forward while expanding them into bold, contemporary forms.

Toronto’s Labyrinth Ensemble is a testament to Daly’s vision.
Over the past four years, this 12-member group has trained
under international mentors, mastering new ways of hearing,
performing, and improvising within modal traditions.
Featuring instruments from santur to gayageum to lyra,
the ensemble reflects Toronto’s unique cultural landscape
and limitless possibilities for cross-cultural creation.

The Panmessinian Federation of USA and Canada announces
the hosting - *for the seventeenth year* - of the

Title: 2025 Greek Summer School on Greek Language and Culture
Target group: Youth of Hellenic Descent (18 to 24 years old) and
              Greek Teachers in Kalamata
Dates: July 10 - August 5
Deadline to apply: Thu 5 June 2025.

This is a vibrant educational and cultural program designed
in collaboration with the University of Peloponnese and
supported by the Federal Government, the Local Governments,
the Mitropolis of Messinia, to connect our youth with
the Greek language, history, and traditions in an engaging and
inspiring environment.

This four-week program (July 10 - August 5) includes: Greek language,
history and culture lessons at three levels (*complete beginner*,
intermediate, and advanced), educational visits to Ancient Olympia,
Mycenae, the Palace of Nestor, Ancient Messini, the Archaeological Museum
of the Acropolis, Mani, the museums of Kalamata (Military, Cultural and
Archaeological), Mount Taygetos, the Church of Ypapandi, the picturesque
towns of Pylos, Kyparissia, Finikounda, Koroni, Methoni and elsewhere.

Applications are now open; students and teachers are welcome to apply by
Thu 5 June 2025.

Maximum 45 students will be admitted to the program.

2025 has been named by the Greek Ministry of Culture as
The Year of Mikis Theodorakis.
As one of the most important figures in Greek culture,
Theodorakis was the first composer to set poetry to music,
fusing poems from Greece's most famous poets with
traditional Greek music, bringing it to the lips and hearts of all Greeks.
