I am a 3rd year PhD student at the University of Toronto, advised by Chris Maddison and David Duvenaud. Prior to this, I worked with George Dahl as an AI Resident at Google Brain. My research is supported by the Open Phil AI Fellowship and NSERC.

I’m generally interested in making neural networks more amenable to real-world deployment, which involves distribution shifts, anomalous data, or lack of labeled data. More specifically, I’m interested in OOD detection, calibration, and representation learning.
