Transcendence and the upcoming AI singularity

UAIG in collaboration with Transcendence hosted a panel discussion around the movie and the future of artificial general intelligence featuring leading AI researchers from the Computer Science, Philosophy and Psychology departments at U of T: Hector Levesque, Sheila McIlraith, Diana Raffman, Frank Rudzicz, Bill Seager, John Vervaeke. Many Transcendence prizepack were handed out at the end of the panel discussion, and 4 lucky early bird registrants won Advanced Screening double passes for the movie avant-premiere on April 16.

UAIG grad talks

UAIG is kicking off a series of talks by graduate students from our AI group! The purpose is to offer undergraduates the opportunity to directly witness the different kinds of research the group is involved with, discover the newest trends in AI, inquire about career paths and research interests, etc. all in a casual setting. Overall, promoting communication between the undergraduate and graduate AI communities. Information about speakers and location can be found in the meetings section.
