Course Requirements
All students, including regular auditors:
You are expected to do all required readings, and to come to class
prepared with questions, comments, etc. Knowledgeable discussion is
key to the success of the class.
You will also be asked to do a 1-hour (regular auditors) or 2-hour
(registered students) presentation of a reading or readings. Presentations
should be about 20 slides (for 2 hours), since the emphasis will be
on class discussion.
Students taking the course for credit:
In addition, you will be asked to write a paper on a topic relevant to
the course material, or to develop a relevant project. A
detailed outline of your paper is due on March 16, and the final paper
is due on April 22.
For registered students, the mark will be determined by class
participation (20%), class presentations (15% each), and paper/project (50%).
