Our paper VisuELs: Visualization of Event Logs has won the Best Paper Award at the "3rd International Conference on Process Mining (ICPM)", 2021. This is joint work with Gaël Bernard.

Our paper Accurate and Transparent Path Prediction Using Process Mining has won the Best Paper Award at the "23rd European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems (ADBIS)", 2019. This is joint work with Gaël Bernard.

Our paper An Efficient Type-agnostic Approach for Finding Sub-sequences in Data has won the Best Paper Award at the "IEEE International Conference on Data Science and Systems (DSS)", 2017. This is joint work with Bertil Chapuis and Benoît Garbinato.

I am an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Information (iSchool) at the University of Toronto.

I completed my PhD in the Department of Computer Science, at the University of Toronto in September 2004 under the supervision of Prof. Renée J. Miller. From September 2004 until August 2005, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the same Department, under the direction of Prof. Renée J. Miller and Prof. Kenneth C. Sevcik.

I finished my undergraduate degree in the National Technical University of Athens, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I did my diploma thesis in the Knowledge and Database Systems Laboratory, under the supervision of Prof. Timos Sellis.
