About
I am currently a PhD student at the University of Toronto, supervised by Prof. Nick Koudas.
I hold an HBSc. degree with high distinction from the University of Toronto, where I completed a Computer Science Specialist with an NLP focus in June 2024. During my undergraduate studies, I am fortunate to be supervised by and work with Prof. Gerald Penn, Prof. Jimeng Sun, and Prof. Qiang Sun in various aspects including Natural Language Generation, Language Modelling, and Continuous Learning.
From 2024 to 2025, I was a StarBridge Program research assistant at Microsoft Research Asia, in which I work with Dr. Shizhao Sun and Dr. Jiang Bian at the Machine Learning Group. Our group's focus was on the next-gen CAD foundation models and reasoning paradigms on multimodal inputs.
My long-term research interests focus on the neural mechanisms underlying language comprehension, acquisition, and production, as well as the development of computational models for simulation. I am particularly interested in understanding how the an intelligent system extracts meaning from structured input, integrates it with prior knowledge, and generates appropriate responses.
In the era of LLMs, I build foundation models and make applications. My research spans various aspects of multimodal LLMs, including representation learning, reasoning, and long-term retrieval quality. I am also dedicated to enhancing the interpretability and trustworthiness of LLMs while exploring their practical values.
You can find my research outcomes on my Research page. I also attempt to write blogs. They can be found at Blog.
