Maria Yancheva

I am a Master's student in the Computational Linguistics group in Artificial Intelligence, Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. My supervisor is Prof. Frank Rudzicz.

My research interests include the application of machine learning algorithms to healthcare challenges and assistive technologies. My current project focuses on the automatic detection of dementia using lexicosyntactic and acoustic features extracted from speech, as well as automatic generation and scoring of language tasks gauging cognitive ability.
