Midterm Examination

• The midterm exam will be held on Thursday, November 2nd, 2006 from 11am - 12noon in GB404.
• No aids will be allowed (e.g. no cheat sheets and no electronic aids).
• The midterm exam will cover everything up until the end of Lecture Notes 6. This includes the material on Amortized Analysis.

• Some of the material covered in the above two exams is not appropriate for this course (either because we haven't covered it yet or we won't be covering it). Don't worry about this material. Try to modify the tree questions so that they apply to red black trees.

Final Examination

• The Final Exam will cover all of the material in the course.
  
• The focus on the exam will be on material covered in the second half of the course, however there will be material from the first half.
  
• No aids will be allowed. This includes but is not limited to no cheat sheet, no calculators, no cell phones and no pagers. The university is being very strict this year on aids, particularly electronic aids such as cell phones. Please be very careful not to bring any electronic aids into the classroom.
  
• The exam will be 3 hours long.
