
I built this animation in Maya 5 using subdivision surfaces to
construct the skin geometry. There are two instances of the
figure. I used IK handles at the hips, with the IK chains
ending at the ankles. These handles are parented to the
pelvis so that the pelvis can be moved while keeping the
feet of the small instance locked to the the pedestal.
I used the
grasp mel script to get
the large instance to hold the pedestal. All of the motion was
key framed.
