Biography


Most recently, I completed a postdoctoral position under the supervision of Dr. Tim Althoff at the University of Washington. Prior to that I was a PhD student studying computer science at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr.Anna Goldenberg and Dr.Marzyeh Ghassemi (Now at MIT). I conducted research at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence and The Li Ka Shing Centre for Healthcare Analytics Research & Training. I was a visiting student at MIT CSAIL. Outside of deadline crunches I enjoy playing guitar, building robots, watercolour painting, linocut printing, cycling, snowboarding, surfing, volleyball, and hockey. Stay tuned for a surprising machine learning project I have been conducting on the acoustic behaviour of Southern Resident Killer Whales.
