Q: Will material be covered in tutorial that will not be covered during the lecture time? If so, would it be possible to make alternate arrangements to at least have a summary of the material (or to know the textbook sections in which it is covered)?

A: The attendance is not taken and does not directly affect the grade except that the term test and quizzes are tentaively scheduled for the tutorial hour. Tutorials will usually consist of more examples of types of problems (and their solutions) covered in lectures but some additional course material may occasionally be provided. You are responsible for knowing the tutorial material, so the tutorial material is fair game for assignments and tests.

Important point repeated: the term test and quizzes will likely be held during tutorial time slots. For the term test, we will allocate two hours 4-6 for the day time section and 5-7 for the evening section. The date is March 2. Make sure you are available.

First tutorial will take place on Monday, January 13 at 4PM (for day time section) and 5PM (for evening section).
