Exactly what kind of computer setup do I need to run this software package? Well, let me see. You need at least a Pentium Pro 200, with 32 megs of RAM, an 8X CD-ROM Drive, a 16-bit Sound Blaster-compatible sound card, 64-bit PCI local bus, MS-DOS 6.22, Windows 95, a 17-inch 1024x768 non-interlaced SVGA monitor, a pair of Theatre Surround Speakers, a mouse, 2.5 GB hard drive, and .......... Ooooops, my mistake those are specs on the new IBM Aptiva S-Series.
Actually, the minimum, bare-bones, I just want the program to run, requirements are: a 386-SX IBM-compatible computer, 4 MB of RAM, a CD-ROM drive, MS-DOS 3.3, 6MB of free hard disk space, a Microsoft-compatible mouse, and a Super VGA graphics card and monitor capable of displaying 640x480x256 colors (512K Video RAM).
Although, the above mentioned configuration will allow you to play the game, it does not allow you to hear the beautiful music and other spectacular sound effects associated with this software program. Also, the game might run a bit slow due to the speed of the computer and the size of the RAM memory. What we suggest instead is running the game on a 486-based computer, with a 16-bit Sound Card and about 8 MB of RAM. This will allow you to play the game quicker and smoother. You will also get to hear the cheers of the citizens when they approve of your actions. Finally, instead of the 640x480 based monitor, one with higher resolution and greater video memory will make the graphic images clearer and more detailed.
