Software giant Autodesk moves into MaRS

Computer Science faculty and alumni are uniquely connected to multinational company, Autodesk.

Autodesk – a company that provides tools for architects, engineers, designers and visual artists – recently announced that its new Toronto home will be the second and third floors of the MaRS West Tower.

More than 100 University of Toronto graduates have worked for Autodesk, and Alias|Wavefront (later Alias), the company acquired by Autodesk in 2006. Many computer science alumni are still working with the Autodesk Research and have co-authored upwards of 100 papers in conjunction with U of T.

Schoo of Graduate Studies (SGS) is renovating to serve you better!

Friday, December 11, is moving day for SGS Student Services! SGS Student Services will be closed on Friday, December 11, 2015 as we will be moving to our temporary location at 702/704 Spadina Avenue. The Office will reopen at 702 and 704 Spadina Avenue on Monday, December 14, 2015. Meetings may be held at the temporary office space beginning Tuesday, December 15, 2015.

We will be located at 702 and 704 Spadina for approximately 5 months while 63 St. George Street is closed for renovations. If you require urgent assistance on December 11, please contact Josie Lalonde or Laura Stathopoulos.

English Language Learning (ELL)

The Communication Cafe offers drop-in discussions, presentations, and debates, along with learning about Canadian culture. Sessions are facilitated by writing centre instructors. January 11, 2016—no registration necessary.

Registration is open for Reading, eWriting, online writing practice with a writing centre instructor starting January 15, 2016.

Both programs are designed for multilingual students and are open to all Arts & Science undergraduates.
