Prerequisites: CSC270H1, MAT223H1/240H1, STA107H1/250H1/257H1;
CGPA 3.0/enrolment in a CSC subject POSt
Load: 25 hours of lectures; 13 hours of Tutorials.
Required Readings:
There is no required textbook for the class.
There will be one or two required papers or chapters per week.
(see Lectures, Readings, & Due Dates).
Some of these required readings will be available on the web.
I will hand out copies of required readings that are not on the web.
Marking Scheme
Closed book Midterm test worth 25%
Closed book Final exam worth 25%
Five assignments worth 10% each
Computing
The assignments
will all be done in Matlab, but prior knowledge of Matlab is not
required. Basic Matlab will be taught during the first few tutorials.
Auditing
If you are not registered in the class, it is possible for you to
audit it (sit in on the lectures), but only if you get the
instructor's permission and follow some rules. See the audit page for more info.
