I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Autonomous Space Robotics Laboratory at the University of Toronto Robotics Institute, Canada. I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science working at the Continuum Robotics Laboratory at the University of Toronto, Canada. Prior to this, I completed both a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Leibniz University Hannover, Germany.
My research is primarily concerned with continuum robots focusing on their design, modeling, control and kinematic evaluation. In my Ph.D. thesis, supervised by Jessica Burgner-Kahrs, I investigated parallel continuum robots - manipulators that consist of multiple individual robots that are physically coupled into a parallel structure and work together collaboratively.
