Podcast: In the Loop

“In the Loop” is a podcast that emerged from my experience advising students. The podcast is a joint effort with my co-host Professor Diane Horton. We are funded, and supported, by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto.1 Our episodes are hosted on Simplecast and can be streamed on all major platforms. We are also on Instagram!

Season 1 #

Season 1 was released on August 28th, 2023.2 The season is made up of four episodes that share first-hand student experiences and faculty perspectives. You can learn more about Season 1 in this article. We hope you find the content useful!

Season 2 #

Season 2 was released on September 3rd, 2024 – the first day of the Fall 2024 semester at the University of Toronto. In addition to new content, we also have new equipment to improve the audio quality of our recordings both in and out of our “studio”. Goodbye, USB microphones… hello, XLR! Season 3 #

Season 3 was released on September 19th, 2025. It’s also the first season where the audio editing was done by the University of Toronto’s Arts and Science Digital Teaching & Learning Studio.3 And, in another first, we hired Helena Glowacki who focused on podcast branding and social media.
