I am a Computer System Engineer and I'm currently finishing my Master in Applied Computing at University of Toronto. I chose to specialize in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Graphics, Mobile and Cloud Computing, and Creative Applications for Mobile Device. I have experience in different work environments including, Web development at a cardiac research unit, a brokerage firm where I worked on programming and information security, in a patent factory where I learned how to write technical patents and understand more about stock market technology. I worked in a civil engineering company, where I learned how a cloud-based engine works to host and analyze flow data.
In the Cardiac eHealth & BCRU, researchers are currently studying the effects of an internet-based behavioural counselling program on the motivation and quality of life of patients with heart failure. The current e-Counselling program utilizes an interactive web-based platform, which allows users to obtain expert information and support as they manage their illness through healthy lifestyle changes, including changes in diet, exercise, and smoking behaviours. In order to further enhance the interactive experience that patients with heart failure have on the e-Counselling platform, the research unit proposed to design a moderated e-Forum.
The moderated e-Forum is web-based software, intended to be a place where patients with heart failure, who currently use the e-Counselling platform, continue to be supported in their lifestyle changes, beyond the limits of the structured online program. Because the mean age of patients with heart failure currently enrolled in the study is 57 years, a tailored interface was implemented in order to increase accessibility and usage by this older, and perhaps, less technologically skilled cohort of patients. The research team, who had prior experience with developing web-based applications for this patient population, established special requirements aimed towards enhancing the user experience. These requirements included, but were not limited to: smooth design, large font sizes, and limited clicks to access information, integration with the existing e-Counselling platform, testing, and validating the e-Forum design.
Lock Pattern
A new locking concept to improve setbacks of two locks Pattern and PIN to determine a lead towards a more convenient and secure unlocking gesture.
iShop
A continuously context-aware shopping assistant mobile application that keeps track of the user’s location, reminding them of the time spent at the store and presenting the store membership cards.
Prepared the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) of a project concept. Research study, prototypes and usability testing was conducted. My group and I won the “best pitch” at Accelerator Centre, Waterloo.
Project concept: An app that centralize interaction between small businesses and their customers to obtain services.
