Choosing to work
Move myself forward

"When making a choice about what to do, choose work."
—Gretchen Rubin, The Happiness Project
This idea is particularly interesting for me. Probably, many would be against it with an anti-workaholic reason. I think, however, that it depends on the definition of work we want to use for that statement. For me, it’s about self-work. It’s about working on my process, towards my goals, being a better person each and every day.
In this sense, it’s reasonable to approach indecisions on what to do next with a simple rule: choose to work on myself. Yes, some times that means reading a book or watch that recorded workshop I have been meaning to watch instead of binge-watch a show; but also, I need to recognize, sometimes the best thing for me is to take a break and what that episode that will help me wind down and energize me to keep moving forward. I’m happy to know that my current system has allowed me to—most of the times—choose to work on me, and that I am following it because I want to, and because I can.
