Program:

Personal Instruction Program:

  1. Instruction includes...
  2. Viewing audio visual material during lectures used in the Canadian Hockey Officiating Program.
  3. Fully acquaint the official with the CHOP Officials' Manual and CHA Rule Book.
  4. A written review on the rules and techniques of the 2 and 3 official system.

Objectives:

PLEASE NOTE:

Officials who turn 16 before January 1199 will become eligible to be registered level II officials upon successful completion of the school's requirements and registration with the OMHA.

An Official's assignments will be at the discretion of their local minor hockey association.

Recertification fees and requirements for the 1998-99 season will be satisfied for clinic participants upon completion of the necessary registration forms, and passing the exam.

Accommodation and Meals

5 meals starting with Saturday Breakfast and 2 nights accommodation are included in the registration fee. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are included for the Friday evening social. Accommodation is based on double occupancy.

Separate accommodations will be provided for females.

All school functions will be alcohol free. The Liquor License Act shall be enforced in all school facilities.

Terms and Conditions:

Confirmation to be forwarded upon acceptance of application & clearance of cheque. No post dated cheques.

All cancellations after registration are subject to a $50.00 administration fee, if an official becomes ill, however, or is injured, and the school confirms that the official should not continue, the school will rebate on a pro rata basis, the difference between full fees and registration deposit. Withdrawals for voluntary or disciplinary reasons will not be eligible for refund.


How to Get there?

Registration:

Officials must register Friday, October 23rd 1998 between 3:00 and 5:30 p.m. at The College Inn, corner of Stone Road and Gordon, in Guelph, Ontario.

Departure:

Upon school's completion Sunday afternoon participants can be picked up from the foyer at the College Inn between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m.

Transportation:

A complementary shuttle service will be provided between the hotel and Guelph Memorial Gardens arena.
