ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS

Arrival in Toronto

You will arrive at the Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ). There are three options to get downtown: shuttle, taxi and public transportation.

1) The "Airport Express" shuttle service takes you directly from the airport to the Royal York Hotel. The price of the ticket is 15.50 Canadian dollars. The schedule is available here. The customer service representatives of the shuttle company are positioned at the three airport terminals:

- Terminal 1 - Location #1 - Arrivals Level (Follow "Ground Transportation" signage). They are located on the opposite side of Currency Exchange just before the escalator to the Ground Level).

- Terminal 1 - Location #2 - Ground Transportation Level (Follow signage to "Ground Transportation"). They are located at the base of the escalator to the left. Sign reads Airport Express & AGTA.

- Terminal 2 - Located Curbside at Area #18

- Terminal 3 - Located Curbside at Area # 27

2) The cost of a taxi to the conference hotel (or anywhere downtown) ranges from 40 to 50 Canadian dollars.

3) By public transportation, you have to take a bus, and then the subway. The 192 Airport Rocket connects the airport to the closest subway station (Kipling Station). Please be aware NOT to take buses 58A or 307. The bus schedule is available here. You can take the bus at all three airport terminals: Terminal 3 (Departures Level), Terminal 2 (Arrivals Level) and Terminal 1 (Ground Level). If you need help to find it, ask about the "TTC" stop (TTC is the acronym used by Torontonians for the public transport). The bus will take you to the Kipling subway station in about 20 minutes. This is the end of the Bloor-Danforth line, so you can take the first available train. From here, you have a 30 minute ride to Saint George Station. At Saint George Station, you have to connect to the University-Spadina subway line. Take the subway in the SOUTHBOUND direction. You have to step out at the Union Station stop. The hotel is across the station. The cost of the trip is 2.25 Canadian dollars. You have to pay to the bus dr!
iver at the airport. The bus leaves you inside the subway station, so you do not have to pay again. You have to pay the exact amount to the driver, so ask for change in the airport before you board the bus.
