The paper “Homogeneous Codes for Energy-Efficient Illumination and Imaging” by Matthew O’Toole, Supreeth Achar, Srinivasa G. Narasimhan, and Kiriakos N. Kutulakos has been featured in New York Times. The existing depth-cameras such as Microsoft Kinect work well in constrained indoor environments but fail in bright light.
