OIL: an extension of RDFS

• A Web Ontology Language designed in European IST project ‘OntoKnowledge’, has been combined with DAML designed in US into DAML+OIL which will be a W3C standard.

• Unifies three important aspects provides by different communities:

• Frame-based systems;

• Description logics;

• Web languages;
