CSC2106 Term Papers
One of the goals of this course is to prepare students for research in requirements
engineering and related fields. As a form of practice, your two term papers
should be formatted as though it were a conference paper for an IEEE conference.
Hence we will use the IEEE templates. Each paper should be no longer than 8
pages, excluding references and appendices. Because the two column format of
the IEEE template can be difficult to work with if you have lots of diagrams,
you can always move these to an appendix, which need not be formatted as two-columns.
To help you format your paper, you may need:
- Author's Guidelines
for preparing papers in IEEE proceedings format
- A page layout template showing the page margins. Available
in: MSWord or Postscript
- Full instructions fomatted according the this template. Available
in MSWord or Postscript
- If you use LaTeX, you will need the following templates:
- latex8.sty -- the style
- latex8.tex -- the main
- latex8.bib -- the sample
- latex8.bst -- the bibliography
main macro set
- latex8.ps -- this file,
when printed out, will give you a sample of how your paper should
look when it's finished.
