General Resources

The BCS RESG website has a resource list including pointers to the main commercial tools
Ian Alexander has written excellent book reviews of most of the RE books published in the last few years
Al Davis maintains an extensive bibliography and other RE related links

The British Computer Society (BCS) has a very active Requirements Engineering Specialist Group
The International Society for Information Processing (IFIP) has a working group (WG2.9) on Requirements Engineering
The International Council on Systems Engineering has a Requirements Working Group
The IEEE has a Task force on Requirements Engineering, although it hasn't been active lately.

The RE-Online Mailing List maintained by Didar Zowghi at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia
The RE Students Newsletter maintained by Thomas Alspaugh at North Carolina State University

INCOSE's requirements management tool survey covers the main tools (although when I last looked, its seems like someone has been having fun with listing the (non-)functions of some of the tools!)
Ludwig Consulting maintains a longer list of commercial requirements management tools including some lesser known tools.
INCOSE also have a tools taxonomy, with good lists of tools for some of the areas.

The Requirements Engineering Journal published by Springer
Conference proceedings are published by IEEE Computer Society Press, and are available in the IEEE's electronic library. Look for the following RE conferences/symposia
- the International Symposium on RE (odd years 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001)
- the International Conference on RE (even years 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000)
- and the newly merged Requirements Engineering Conference (annually 2002, 2003, 2004)
