W3C HTML Validation Service A pretty good HTML validator, which checks your web page for correctness and whether it conforms to the current HTML standard. HyperText Markup Language A good site with information about the HTML standard, some tutorials, etc. Perl.com A great site to get started programming in Perl, with links to tutorials on writing Perl CGI scripts, downloadable Perl interpreters for Win32, etc. JavaScript Resources This site provides useful JavaScript information, such as language references, sample scripts, tutorials, etc. The tutorial is pretty decent since it is aimed at people that already know how to program in some language, so it skips over things like "what is a variable", "what is a for loop", etc. and gets right down to actually using the language for useful tasks. Perl Resources This site is similar to the JavaScript site, but with a focus on Perl. It presents a continuing series of articles on writing Perl scripts, from beginning to advanced topics. XML Resources Brought to you by the same people that created the above mentioned JavaScript and Perl pages, this page focuses on XML. Again, it presents some language references, tutorials, and samples. |
