Feb 10 There will be a help session for Assignment 1 on Friday February 13, immediately following the tutorial, 2:00 - 3:00 PM, in Bahen 2139.

Feb 5 Posted Assignment 1. Note that the assignment is worth 20% of your mark, not 15% as previously announced.
Feb 4 This log file has been reformatted as a table to make it easier to scrape for those using RSS feeds. Thanks to fellow student Christian Muise to doing the reformatting.

Jan 23 I sent out a test message to the csc2542w09@cs email list. If you did not receive it, please contact me to be added to the list.
Jan 23 This is to confirm that the drop deadline for "S" courses (such as our course, CSC2542) is officially Sunday March 8, listed as Friday March 6 in our slide deck, the last day you can actually access the grad office. (A student in class yesterday suggested that the drop deadline was in February. This is not the case.)
Jan 14 As suggested last week, there will be no lectures this week. If you are wondering about whether to take the course or not, please feel free to email me and set up a time to drop by to discuss the course and potential course projects. I'm happy to talk to you about the course. Otherwise, see you next week!

Dec 30 Our first lecture will be on Thursday January 8, 2PM in Galbraith 221. I'll be overviewing the syllabus, polling potential participants about their interests, and providing an overview of material in the course. Please come if you're at all interested in taking or auditing the course. There will be no tutorial on Friday January 9.
