Steve's Pictures from the Elegant Bridal & Fashion Show

-- -- -- -- --

Welcome to my collection of pictures from the Elegant Bridal and Fashion Show, that took place this past weekend. It was an exciting three days, filled with interesting people, exotic clothes, ceremonial loincloths, frantic costume changes, hula dancing, floral hairstyles, fried rice & noodles, and Ashton Kutcher lookalikes.

Thanks a lot to everybody for making my first fashion show (and first time modeling, for that matter) such a great experience. I'm looking forward to hearing from you or running into you again sometime. Until then, take care, and enjoy the pictures!

Hula Dancing Show

Hula dancers, Saturday afternoon.

My friend May, reaching for the sky.

More hula dancing.

May, the friend who got me involved with the fashion show in the first place :)

Hula dancing movie clip #1. Beware, 3.5meg file.

Hula dancing movie clip #2 (6.5megs)

Hula dancing movie clip #3 (11.2megs)

Hula dancing movie clip #4 (9.6megs). Lots of rapid shaking in this one :)

Before the Saturday Show

Ooh, bad picture.

Much better, except for the fist in my face.

Me, before the makeup.

Applying god-knows-what to my lips.

Me, after makeup. Boy, my lips are shiny.

My makeup artiste.

People in various stages of hair styling.

More people getting their hair styled.

Guillaume, getting his hair straightened, then styled. He must've been the only one in the room getting the curls taken *out* of his hair.

Styling Guillaume took nearly an hour. Unbelievable.

Agnes & Robin #1

Agnes & Robin #2

Dean, showing Tony the hairstyle he wants.

Dean's "before" shot.

During and After the Saturday Show

Milling around before the Saturday afternoon show.

So serious, and so cute :)

Michelle and I, smiling at different cameras.

Lynn, in her elegant long dress.

Dean's "after" pose.

The guys, thinking "like James Bon".

May and I again.

Lots and lots of white.

The Korean costumes, after the show.

Dean, contemplating his magazine career.

Xuan's hair arrangement.

Same thing, from the side.

Nice smiles.

Dean & Ashton.

Uncanny, isn't it?

Xuan, posing with Kelso.

I don't remember who this is, but she had a beautiful hairstyle :)

Oooh...petals....

What a nice dress. Too bad she was running one of the booths, and wasn't in the show.

Me and my funky hair.

Before the Sunday Show

Poor Hettie. She looks so uncomfortable.

Makeup mission control.

Using that brushy thing.

Wiping off stuff from that pencil thing.

Lynn's hair.

Jess, getting her hair painstakingly styled. This same guy did my hair in 30 seconds. Gotta love short hair :)

Agnes, Robin and I. So cute.
(Them, I mean...not me)

Sally's hair (I think)

Xuan's hair diary continues....

May and I, before the curtain goes up.

A few fans at the entry desks.

I didn't realise how many old friends of mine are engaged until I ran into them at this show. Cray-zee.

Ha ha...yeah, I work at Sid Silver :)

Sunday Showtime

I love the flower pattern on that dress.

I love Emrah in this picture :)

What pretty, enormous dresses :)

Jocelyn and her flower ensemble.

The kids & their matching Snoopies.

Patwin, Rainbow, Hettie, Dean and I.

Emrah, me, and Emrah's camera.

Mmm, yummy.

Xuan, in her "old" dress :)

A pretty picture :)

Another pretty picture :)

Blue fur. How natural :)

More blue fur!

That loincloth gives me nightmares.

Guillaume herding the little kids around the stage :)

It was funny that they were playing the Chicken Dance at the time. This bit was like watching a coop of chickens being herded around :)

...cluck cluck cluck cluck

By far, the most impressive bridal outfit of them all.

Hettie, clamped tightly around my legs.

Hettie and Patwin, fighting over something.

Jen and Mindy, in lots of colour.

Post-Show Festivities

Lynn, in that cool last dress of hers.

Xuan, modeling her purple chinese dress.

Xuan, in her purple dress.

All the makeup people, gathered on stage.

Shannon and Agnes, after the show.

Rita, one of the makeup people, asking for a picture.

Patwin loved being high enough to touch the ceiling.

Hettie liked the heights too, but was always worried about falling.

The boys, jockeying for position.

The final picture :)
