Professor
Department of Computer Science
University of Toronto
My research is in computer security, with recent topics including interpersonal technology abuse, applied and theoretical cryptography, and authentication.
Starting January 2026, I am at the University of Toronto and on leave from Cornell University. As such, I will not be taking new PhD students at Cornell for the foreseeable future.
I previously worked part time at Cloudflare Research.
I'm part of a research team working on computer security and
privacy issues in the context of intimate partner violence.
This led us to found the Clinic to End Tech Abuse.
