Mounting your CSLab home directory using SSHFS

• Step 1: Acquire SSHFS (if not installed)

  $ sudo apt-get install sshfs

• Step 2: Determine the true location of your CSLab homedir

  First, log on to a CSLab apps server:
  $ ssh cs.toronto.edu

  Then, run this command:
  $ ls -l /u/[YOUR_USERID]

  e.g.:
  pocsys@apps0:~$ ls -l /u/pocsys
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Aug 7 14:22 /u/pocsys -> /h/209/pocsys

• Step 3: Use SSHFS to mount the true location of your home directory to some mountpoint on your local machine

  e.g.:
  pocsys@mccoy:~$ sshfs cs.toronto.edu:/h/209/pocsys ~/cslab
