Bachelor of Science (Honours), University of Ontario Institute of Technology

Degree in Computing Science, minor in Mathematics. Graduated with a 4.17 GPA and received the President's Leadership Award.

Work History

2009–Present

Teaching Assistant, Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto

Served as teaching assistant for CSC300 - Computers and Society and CSC309 - Programming on the Web.

2000–Present

Assistant Web Administrator, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education

Maintain website for Community College Leadership Doctoral Program including design, technical support, and content updates.

2002–Present

Research Assistant, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education

Completed statistical analysis on data acquired through various survey instruments for doctoral students of the Community College Leadership Program. Analysis executed was used in three doctoral theses.

Volunteer Work

2006–2009

Vice-President Advancement, Omega Solar-DC/UOIT Solar Vehicle Team

As the first Vice-President in charge of fundraising, played a major role in fundraising over $100,000 towards the completion of our vehicle. Tasks included preparing grant applications and dealing with corporate sponsors. Also served as interm head of electronics development for six months.

2007–2008

Vice-President, Students for Humanitarianism and Action through Respect and Education

Joined the organization in its first year of operations (2005) as Web Administrator and also assisted with marketing. Responsible for coordinating an advertising campaign which resulted in record attendence for the largest cultural show on campus. Was a founding member of GuluWalk Oshawa, a local branch of an international fundraising effort for children in Uganda. GuluWalk Oshawa has since raised over $15,000. Also served as an executive advisor training new leadership before my departure.

Was awarded $6,000 to complete summer research project for with Dr. Mark Green.

2005–2009

High Achievement Recognition Program, University of Ontario Institute of Technology

Was awarded $21,000 for high grades from high school and university.

2001

Chief Scout Award, Scouts Canada

Achieved the highest honour possible in my Scout troop after ten years of service.
