The Gateway of India, Mumbai
A famous & touristy monument, originally constructed to commemorate
the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. Ironically, the last British
ships also set sail from here in 1947.

My name is Meghana Marathe, and i am a first (nearly second now) year Master's student at the Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto. i belong to the Computational Linguistics Group, and my thesis advisor is Prof. Graeme Hirst.

There isn't much on this website as of now, hopefully it will be better in the not-too-distant future :) (wishful thinking !)

Other stuff

Being in Toronto, i miss Bombay/Mumbai (the city of my birth) a lot, so i made sure that this set of webpages was full of things about Bombay, where possible :) ah Bombay, how i miss thee !

The photo that appears at the top of each page is a panorama of Marine Drive in Mumbai... it's a long promenade by the sea, and is a wonderful place for a walk :) It isn't the best of photos, but its all i could find online :(
