• Dept. of Neuroscience of Georgetown University, Washington, DC (May 2000 - Dec 2002): postdoctoral stay in the Computational Neuroscience Lab of Dr. Geoffrey J. Goodhill, working on probabilistic models of cortical maps.
• Dept. of Computer Science of the University of Sheffield, UK (Oct 95 - Apr 2000): dimensionality reduction and sequential data reconstruction using latent variable models. There is a description of this research, with applications to speech data, in my PhD thesis page.
• European Space Agency (ESA-ESOC), Germany (Jan 93 - Dec 94): real-time simulation of satellite thermal subsystems in the context of the SIMSAT package.
