"Moscow For You" - an interactive CD-ROM
This product is a part of series interactive CD-ROMs about major cities of the World such as: New York, Paris, London, Montreal, e.t.c.
"Moscow for you" disk contains a wealth of information about Moscow both in English and Russian. The disk user can accomplish
an interesting and entertaining trip to the history of the City, to see unique pictures of Moscow made from outer space and from the
helicopter, to enjoy visiting its attractions, cultural, architectural and historical sites of this 850 years old city, its theatres,
museums, cathedrals, monuments, parks, business and recreation centres. You may also switch on to the server of the Moscow
Mayor's office trough the INTERNET to get the latest news on the life of the Russian Capital.
"Moscow for you" is 2 languages version tourist guide with simple and user-friendly interface, pleasant music, choice of several
slide shows etc., to be used by a tourist, a visitor or a businessman.
"Moscow for you" contains 1421 articles on all aspects of the City life, richly illustrated by 2500 full screen high colour pictures, 10
minutes of video filming fragments of the "Bolshoy" and Chamber "Moscow" ballet performances, as well as 6 hours of voice
narration.
The publication has six main chapters:
"Figures and facts"-- provides the insight of city's life through diagrams, columns, graphics;
"Chronicle"-- tells about history of Moscow illustrated with pictures & paintings.
"Heritage"-- brings you to the most famous museums, churches and cathedrals, historical buildings, streets and parks.
"Practical Guide"-- describes transportation, hotels, restaurants, theatres and concert halls, museums and exhibitions,
shops etc., also illustrated with picture and video.
"Street Voyage"-- is a game, a trip in the car along Montreal's streets.
"Moscow for you" package contains 2 laser compact disks (the traditional CD-ROM disk is complemented by another one in the
CD-i and Video CD format) and a yearly discount card "Countdown", active in 27 countries all over the world, permitting purchase of
commodities and services with considerable discounts in 500 places in Moscow only.
"Moscow for you" was nominated "The product of the year 1997" at the All-Russia Festival of Multimedia Disks "Content - Autumn
97" and was also marked by a special prize of a jury.
The Government of Moscow, the Russian Trade Chamber, the Central Bank of Russia included "Moscow for you" into their New
Year's gift packages.
