- I used initially these
cyrillic fonts (ZIP archive
of fonts in *.bdf format) to view Russian texts in
KOI-8 encoding on SUN machine.
If you work with
SOLARIS
(as I do), you may
need *.pcf
fonts. You can convert *.bdf
fonts to *.pcf
fonts using program bdftopcf

- I used long time ago this
keyboard mapping file to type Russian texts in
KOI-8 encoding on SUN SPARC running Solaris2.3.
Now, I am working with Solaris2.4 and using this
keyboard mapping
file. I inserted the line
xmodmap $HOME/.keymap
in
my .openwin-init
file; to switch to/from Russian keyboard
I just press CapsLock
key once.
