Assignment 1 Announcements

Thursday September 20: A1 Deadline Extension

Announcement: Because of computer system problems at both Erindale and St. George, the deadline for A1 has been extended to 5 p.m. on Friday September 21st.

Presently, students on CDFPC are unable to change their passwords. If this problem is not corrected by 5 p.m. today, then we will post another announcement here.

Thursday September 20: I CAN'T change my password

Question: I'm a St. George student. When I try to change my cdfpc password I get the error
Error 86 - the specified network password is not correct
Am I doing something wrong? If I can't change my password I can't submit my assignment.
Answer: The error is not your fault. The system administrators are working to fix it as fast as they can.

September 17, 2001: Change your CDF-PC Password

Question: I'm a St. George student but I work at home. My prof. said I could work at home and even do my electronic submission from home over the web. Do I ever have to set foot in CDF-PC ?
Answer: Yes. Before you can submit assignments electronically you must change your CDF-PC password. You can only do that in person in the CDF-PC lab. Once you've done that you can do the remainder of your work remotely if you wish.

September 17, 2001: Get Going!

Hint: Go to the lab when a TA is holding office hours and finish your A1 while you have someone available for questions. Do the submission early too.
