The purpose of this part of the assignment is to use some standard
commercial software. Start with the file called ``myfile'' that you copied
onto your diskettes in Part I of this assignment. The file is a plain,
mixed up version of the course outline document in your course manual.
Your project is to recreate the document as it appears in your course manual.
Read the document into Word Perfect and follow these steps to return it to
its original form.
- Organize the contents so the order is the same as in the original document.
If you totally screw up the document, you can quit WordPerfect without
saving the file and start over. If you accidentally write an even more
messed up version, you can pickup the original file again and start over.
- Change the line spacing to match the original.
- Change the margins, both the width of the margins and the justification
of the lines of text.
- Add boldface type and underlining where necessary.
- Change the font size where necessary.
- Add the missing paragraph about the makeup test.
- Add the missing footers and fix the page numbering.
- Use the spelling checker to find and correct the incorrectly spelled words.
- Make any other changes so that it looks just like the one in your manual.
- Save the document in a file called EXERCISE.WP. Print it and keep it to
hand in with the other parts of the assignment.
