Department of Computer Science
University of Toronto

I am currently a postdoc at the Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto, working with Professor Peter Marbach.
I have obtained my Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Professor Ben Liang and Professor Elvino S. Sousa from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada, in 2008, in electrical and computer engineering. I also obtained my M.A.Sc. degree under the supervision of Professor Ben Liang in 2004. I received my B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2003.

::: Research

My current research interest is mainly on two fronts: random access scheduling in multi-hop wireless networks, and network formation and control for online social networks.

In the past, I analyzed and developed low-complexity scheduling and resource management policies for wireless networks with time-varying channel conditions. I also studied admission control policies where the network population is dynamic and users continuously join and leave the network.

I am much obliged to numerous researchers whose inspiring and profound work has helped me mature in the field.
