Introduction to the Department
Your University of Toronto Identifier ( UTorID )
All U of T employees and students have an identifier called your
Utorid.
You can find your UTorID on your T-card
The starting point for all Utorid adjustments is https://www.utorid.utoronto.ca/
as it mentions there the utorid is the key identifier in all the
University's
research, teaching, HR and library systems. It is strongly
recommended
that you set up a password recovery mechanism or two using the link
on the page.
University provided resources
With DCS increasingly collaborating with other departments,
divisions and institutions within the University a common
identity
and access management system facilitates communication
between faculty and staff across the University.
UTMail+
Like many universities around the world the University has contracts
services from
Microsoft providing institutional email, file storage, calendaring,
MS Office software and additional products described at
https://easi.its.utoronto.ca/shared-services/office365/
These resources can be accessed from https://office.com/
Provide any string ending in "@utoronto.ca" as your sign in

address and login with your utorid and password at the
https://weblogin.utoronto.ca/
page. Note the precautions
on the page, though they are of greater concern if you are
following links sent to you by email or other mechanisms.
Microsoft Office software for your personal computers
Your departmental computer will have Word, Outlook, etc
installed. For home machines you can install the Office programs
on up to 5 devices from the "Install Office" link

or just use the version on the web.
