Hi, I'm Leo! I am pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Computing at the University of Toronto in the Computer Science concentration, and I expect to graduate in December 2026.
I love cybersecurity and capture-the-flag competitions, and I play for both L3ak and UofT's CTF team Go Go Squid. I also play solo at times as Han Shangyan. My favorite categories are OSINT in particular, as well as cloud, misc, and forensics.
My research interests are in the intersection of AI and security, especially AI policy as it relates to cybersecurity, AI for cybersecurity applications, and red teaming. Outside of school and competitions, I love discovering new food places, playing guitar and piano, and collecting animation cels, Pokemon cards, and autographs. I also run a side business selling and trading them. For games, I love chess and rhythm games, and I am a FIDE National Trainer and USCF Candidate Master.
