Course Title: Principles of Programming Languages
Course Description: Alternative paradigms for programming are illustrated
with
particular
programming languages. Students familiar with the imperative programming
paradigm adopted by languages such as C and Turing, are exposed to functional
programming through Lisp, logic programming through Prolog, and possibly
others. Syntax and semantic issues for programming languages are also
discussed.
