I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto. I am a member of Computer Systems Lab.

My research interests are mainly in distributed systems. I currently work on the autonomic management of complex and large scale systems. In particular, I study the resource provisioning for backend databases in dynamic content web servers. My supervisor is Professor Amza.

I received the M.Sc. degree from the Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto in Jan, 2005 and the B.E. and M.E. degree from the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA, a.k.a. Beihang Univ.) in 1998 and 2001. From April, 2001 to August, 2003, I worked at wireless and networking group, Microsoft Research Asia, and then exploratory solutions group, IBM China Research Lab.
