For those of you who were wondering where they can find a free compiler for DOS, there is a software package name DJGPP which is (supposedly) compatable with gcc. More information can be obtained at DJGPP
Please note that I haven't ever used this product, nor is it likely that the other TAs have, so you are pretty much on your own when it comes to installation or use of the product.
And as always, make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to test your program on skule.ecf; you never know when gcc will decide to be a little different...
