CSC148 — Marks

Meaning of your Grade

UofT has some guidelines. To do well many students must work somewhat differently than they are used to, not simply work more: notice the terms "original thinking", "critical capacity" and "develop solutions" in the guidelines. A typical average for a first year course at UofT is around 65%.

CSC150 Versus CSC148

We try to calibrate the CSC150 marks to CSC148 standards so that you are not penalized for taking CSC150 instead of CSC148. In particular, we will likely share part or all of the final exam; comparing the exam results between the two courses will help us adjust the term's marks. A typical average for CSC 150 has been around 70%.
