Midterm Tomorrow

The midterm tomorrow will cover all lecture material up to makefile and graph. It will be held in the
lecture room in the first hour of the lecture (3:10-4:10) You can bring two aid sheets as described in the
info-sheet. They have to be hand-written.

About Grace Day

how many grace days you have used up to now. Note you can only use one

If you implement the following correctly, you will be given 5% extra credits.
In the INPUT file, there may be cases that multiple spaces (or tabs) are between two sequence of letters, for example:
"apple pie"
"apple pie"
"apple pie"
You should treat these three phrases identical. However, they are not identical to "applepie"

Clarification about whitespaces in
input file

I previously said that you may safely assume your input file contains no preceding or trailing spaces on
each line. This does not apply to the word followed by -w option. The word you provide on the command line may have
trailing zeros, and only one trailing zero should be considered SIGNIFICANT, your program should ignore all the others.
-w "Apple " should be the same as
-w "Apple " but should NOT be the same as
-w "Apple"
To help you understand, think about Google Suggest.

There was a typo on the exercise section of the course website. The midterm should
take place on Tuesday, July 5th, NOT June 5th. Thanks Russell who points it out.

Lecture Time changed

Since everyone in the class agreed, Lectures are now held from 3-5PM on Tuesdays, followed by a one hour tutorial
from 5-6PM. The tutorial will be held in the lecture room (BA1180). Do not forget my office hour is from 2-3PM
on Tuesdays at BA5180.
