Computer Science Survival Guide When: Thursday, Jan. 24 4:00-5:30 p.m. (there'll be cookies!) Where: SF1101 So, you've decided you want a CS degree, now what? How will you survive all those programming assignments? Where will you go for advice? How will you avoid pitfalls along the way? How will you get to know some of the other fun people studying CS? Here's a chance to ask some of those questions about CS that you've been wondering about. Get advice from senior undergraduate students, faculty and staff. A panel of students will tell you what they wish they had known when they started. Get tips on how to do assignments, where to get information, and how to get help with your course work. Learn about more of the events going on in the department, and meet some of the people you will need to know. This seminar is aimed at first and second year students who are planning to pursue a Computer Science degree. Karen Reid - reid@cs.utoronto.ca
