• When reading Die Vermessung der Welt by Daniel Kehlmann, I was curious to see the canal that Humboldt and Bonpland explore which connects the Orinoco and the Amazonas River. I believe I found it in this map. The River going east-west is Orinoco, the canal is first going south, then south-west.
