This software project has been abandoned in favor of a new web service based solution, which has several advantages. Please visit BibBase.org to find out more and start using it.
If you have used (the cgi-based) bibbase previously, you can easily convert your existing set of bib-files into the appropriate format for the new web service using these two scripts: addURL.sh, bibbase_convert.sh. Directions:|
This is the project page of the BibBase
Sourceforge project. BibBase is a tool to automatically
generate HTML pages from bibtex files and additional files
containing freeform notes (like abstracts, links, pointers to
implementations, project names or descriptions). Unlike
bibtex2html, this generation is done on-the-fly through CGI scripts
but using a cache to not regenerate previously generated pages.
This way it is always up-to-date but no less efficient than
bibtex2html. Its main purpose is to serve for publications pages on
academic web pages. The on-the-fly approach makes it extremely
easy to keep your publications page up-to-date: simply copy new
bibtex/paper files into the appropriate directories. Next time
you open your publications page, the newly added items will show.
Also, visitors to your publications page can rearrange (group),
sort, or filter your publications the way they want, e.g. listing
publications grouped by year, author, or bibentry-type (e.g.
Article, InProceedings, Book).
BibBase is free software. It is published under the GNU Public Licence. DownloadCVS (preferred method, in particular for easy updating later-on)or Latest Release (from Sourceforge) In either case, please consult the contained INSTALL file for installation instructions.
