About Me

Hello there! I am a fourth year student at uoft studying computer science, cognitive science and mathematics. My research interests lie broadly in the intersection of machine learning and human nature. This includes both using machine learning to explore human cognition as well as study the effects of the use of machine learning on cognition. The former encompasses my interest in computational neuroscience, particularly in leveraging artificial neural networks to model cognitive processes of decision-making, perception, and memory. At the CoNSens lab under Matthias Niemeier, I have performed comparative research into artificial and biological neural networks to advance the understanding of visual information processing in the brain by developing a novel map-based artificial neural network to model dorsal and ventral stream functions. At Ashton Anderson's CSSLab, I am researching the effect of LLM use on human creativity. Specifically, we are looking at performance in the Remote Associations Task and Alternate Uses Tasks under varying levels of AI-assistance (preprint). Outside of school, I play on a couple intramural teams, and I play a lot of keepy ups with my friends around campus. I also love to make music on my laptop and go dancing :)
