How to get it

For sites with internet access, the software is being made available by anonymous ftp on the machine ftp.cs.toronto.edu (128.100.1.105) in the directory /pub/xerion. The distribution is broken down into several files. The source code for the Uts libraries is in one file. Each simulator built with the libraries is in it's own file. You need only take the main Uts file, and the files containing the simulators you wish to use.

If you do not have ftp access, but you do have E-mail access, contact drew@cs.toronto.edu and we will give you instructions on how to obtain Uts through E-mail.

If neither of these options is useful, we can send you the release on an mm. cartridge tape (an exabyte tape). Send us a blank tape along with a self addressed stamped return envelope, and we will mail you back the software. We are unable to make Uts available on any other media at this time.

Bug reports, questions or suggestions can be mailed to drew@cs.toronto.edu. There is also a users' mailing list for discussion of issues relating to both Uts and Xerion. You may join this list by sending mail to xerion-request@cs.toronto.edu. To help make Uts a better tool for the Neural Network community and to ensure future funding for this project, we would like to keep an up to date list of people who are using it. If you are using or plan to use Uts, please let us know.
