Format, Tiebreakers

There are 3 participating teams in Voyageurs Cup 2006: Montreal Impact, Toronto Lynx and Vancouver Whitecaps. Each team plays 2 matches (1 home, 1 away) against each other team, for a total of 4 matches (2 home, 2 away) per team and 6 matches overall. All of these matches are drawn from the 2006 United Soccer Leagues First Division (USL D1) regular season.

In each match, 3 points are awarded for a win, 1 point is awarded for a draw, and 0 points are awarded for a loss. The three teams are ranked according to the total number of points obtained in all Voyageurs Cup 2006 matches. If two or more teams are tied on points then they are ranked relative to each other by applying the following tiebreakers (if all three teams are tied and a tiebreaker separates one from the other two but not all three of them, then this procedure is reapplied, starting with the first tiebreaker, to the teams that remain tied):

  7. Number of away goals scored in all Voyageurs Cup 2006 matches.
  8. If exactly two teams are tied: Number of points obtained in all 2006 USL D1 regular season matches between the tied teams.
  9. If exactly two teams are tied: Goal difference in all 2006 USL D1 regular season matches between the tied teams.
  10. If exactly two teams are tied: Goals scored in all 2006 USL D1 regular season matches between the tied teams.
  11. If exactly two teams are tied: Number of away goals scored in all 2006 USL D1 regular season matches between the tied teams.

WOMEN'S VOYAGEURS CUP EAST 2006
Format, Tiebreakers

There are 5 participating teams in Women's Voyageurs Cup East 2006: Hamilton Avalanche, Laval Comets, Ottawa Fury, Sudbury Canadians and Toronto Lynx. Each team plays 2 matches (1 home, 1 away) against each other team, for a total of 8 matches (4 home, 4 away) per team and 20 matches overall. All of these matches are drawn from the 2006 United Soccer Leagues (USL) W-League regular season.

In each match, 3 points are awarded for a win (even if it comes in extra time), 1 point is awarded for a draw, and 0 points are awarded for a loss (even if it comes in extra time). The five teams are ranked according to the total number of points obtained in all Women's Voyageurs Cup East 2006 matches. If two or more teams are tied on points then they are ranked relative to each other by applying the following tiebreakers (if three or more teams are tied and a tiebreaker separates some but not all of them, then this procedure is reapplied, starting with the first tiebreaker, to the teams that remain tied):

Format, Tiebreakers

There are 2 participating teams in Women's Voyageurs Cup West 2006: London Gryphons and Vancouver Whitecaps. The two teams are ranked according to the average number of points obtained per 2006 United Soccer Leagues (USL) W-League regular season match (ie. the total number of points obtained in all 2006 USL W-League regular season matches divided by the number of such matches). If the two teams are tied on points per match then they are ranked by applying the following tiebreakers:

  1. Goal difference per 2006 USL W-League regular season match (ie. overall goal difference divided by number of matches).
  2. Number of goals scored per 2006 USL W-League regular season match.
  3. Number of away goals scored per 2006 USL W-League regular season match.
The team ranked highest after all matches have been played is the Women's Voyageurs Cup West 2006 title winner.

WOMEN'S VOYAGEURS SUPER CUP 2006
Format, Tiebreakers

If a United Soccer Leagues (USL) W-League playoff match is played between the winner of Women's Voyageurs Cup East 2006 and the winner of Women's Voyageurs Cup West 2006, then the winner of that match, following any necessary tiebreakers as applied by the USL W-League (ie. extra time, penalty kick shootout), is the Women's Voyageurs Super Cup 2006 title winner. (If no such USL W-League playoff match is played, then the Women's Voyageurs Super Cup 2006 title will not be awarded to any team.)
